Air Show

We were very saddened that we had to miss the Wings Over Houston Air Show both days this weekend. It rained the entire weekend! I really wanted Austin to see the planes, because he LOVES airplanes. Since we live close to the military base we hear and see a lot of the F-16's and T-38's flying over and he is always very interested in them. Maybe mother nature will be kinder to us next year...

It only rained in the morning. Granted there was a little bit of refreshing rain in the afternoon, but trust me, it felt great.

If you do take Austin next year, do yourself and him a favor and at the very least get earplugs, or if he wants to look like a "real" pilot, get him those proctective ear covers. (I don't know if they will protect his hearing).

Lastly, know that the cheapest drinks are sold by the Ellington Field Fire Department for just $1--that is right only $1--drinks at the food stands are $3.50.

I worked the airshow Satuday, and they made us a deal, if we advertised their products, we got free drinks.

Yeah we wanted to get there in the morning because I had a photo session that afternoon - which ended up getting rescheduled due to the rain. :( Last year one of the booths gave Austin some protective ear covers like the pilots have and he loved them! We'll have to do that again for next year. We did drive over to EF and look at some of the planes that were still there Monday. Thanks Pernille for the tips! :)
