Park

We took a trip up to David's work today and stopped by the park next to his building. With the weather being nice the boys had fun playing and running around. Jake is trying really hard to perfect his walking and won't be long before he is taking off! Here are a few pictures of my precious sweet men! Got to love the Wymore boys! :)

Space Center

I took the boys to Space Center today to run around and play. Austin had a blast with his friend Isaac. They roamed the gallery and was able to touch a moon rock! Austin did very well calling out different things like rocket, astronaut, and stars. He loved trying on the astronaut helmets and trying to land the space shuttle in the simulated game. He nose dived into the runway, but did better then I did! ;)

Birthday Double Trouble Fun

We decided to do a combined birthday party for the boys at Fun Max Jumpin' in Friendswood. We ordered them a cake from the Cake Lady (yumm!!) and provided pizza by Double Dave's (more yumm!). The venue had a huge room filled with all sorts of moonwalks, slides, and obstacle courses for both kids and adults. It was a room just for our party which made it nice! And for next time I know how huge it is so we can invite more people! I was a little hesitant since I didn't know exactly how many people it could truly hold. Plus we had quite a few of Austin's friends who were sick and couldn't make it, yall were missed! After 1 hour and 15 min play time we went into the birthday room for food, cake, and presents. Austin blushed when we sang happy birthday to him and even covered his eyes! LOL He blew out the candles perfectly and devoured his piece of cake. He then opened up the gifts (in a hurry). It was a blast and can't wait until next year where Jake and his buddies can do more things then the slides and cars. For those who came, thank you so much!!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Today at 6:07am my little red head future line backer turned one year old! WOW! I can't believe it's been a year since I delivered him. I can remember like it was yesterday, but this version you probably didn't hear. This is my version...the thoughts through my head, how the events happened to me, and my little bit of sarcasm. Here it begins with me waking up early in the morning having 3 contractions. That's all it took to realize holy crap I am in labor and he is coming NOW. We packed up the car with Austin and on the way to the hossy I was screaming at David to run the red lights or he was going to deliver Jake in the back seat - HA!! Then me getting to the hossy only to hear that since I had a history of a fast labor with Austin and seeing how I was almost there already I couldn't get pain meds. Yep that's right. One thing they forget to tell you in Lamaze class huh? I'm sorry you said WHAT?! As an OB nurse myself it's funny how you "forget" these things. No biggie Aus was a "small" baby I can do this right? No. At 9cm and about 30mins being there I begged for an epi. Ok Jenny, "if" he gets here in time and your blood work comes back ok (they check your platelets) then you can have it. Pardon me? If and when he gets here?! Excuse me? Oh that's right, I'm the idiot who chose to deliver at a small catholic hospital that doesn't staff an anesthesiologist this early in the morning. If I would have come in at 9am sharp I'd have it! Bah. He graciously gets there in about 20mins and my blood work is back and I'm still pregnant so I get the epi. WAHOOOOOOOOOO. Thank you Dr. Savrick. Yep, if you have a REALLY good epi - you remember the epi guy's name! By then the nurse says ok let's see how you can push since you are now complete (thank goodness just in time!). I pushed once and both her eyes and mouth opened wide and out of her mouth came - don't you think about pushing anymore, I need to call the doc! WHAT?! Apparently I am a good pusher and she hadn't called the doc yet. Hmmmmm. Interesting. So I sat there literally with my legs crossed with ENORMOUS pressure trying not to hiccup, cough, or sneeze. She said any pressure would push him out. Geez, thanks! Of course mind you since I arrived there were 3 nurses in and out of my room constantly. This was happening the entire time. I loved it though. So I then see my angel's face that is my OB. We got things ready and one push his head was out - the nurse didn't lie! Second push shoulders were out. Third push was PRESSSSSSURE as he came out. My God what just came out of me? At 38 weeks a 8.3lb baby did! He was so much bigger then Austin was...well over a pound bigger. Whew. It's all done. He looks good, I can hold him, and oh my God where is Austin?!?

:)

Ok, even though that was a great ending there was still more I had to say, lol. And for the record he was in the waiting room with my family (I don't remember this). I love my hossy to death and my nurses were fantastic. They know it is crazy to come in so quickly and deliver. Hormones flying everywhere. Luckily they were my friends as I used to be a nurse there, so it's all good! And one thing that I have to brag on is the fact that Jake was the FIRST baby born at St. John Hospital for 2007!! How cool huh?!? We received a huge basket of goodies from Babies R Us and they put our name in the local paper along with the other hospitals "winners." It was a very neat story that we'll get to pass on to him. He's our #1 number two! ;)

2007

2007 was a great year for our family...looking back...

1) We added a precious addition to our family. The boys play so wonderful together and there has never been any major problems with jealousy! Austin loves his brother so much and is always trying to help out where he can.
2) David passed his PE (Professional Engineer) boards! And of course on the first round. Congrats to David Wymore, PE! :)
3) We vacationed across the country visiting Austin, Chicago, and Vegas with our friends...for a much needed break with my hubby!
4) David went to Costa Rica for a guys fishing trip and caught fish bigger then me! ;)
5) I got a pimped out amazing new SUV for our growing family - David did a great job!
6) David's employer was bought out by Jacob's Engineering firm with him receiving a huge nice pay raise. Jacob's is a HUGE firm and a lot of you Clear Lake folk pass by one of their buildings on Bay Area. In the next year he'll find out if they will be relocated or if they'll stay in the heights. That will dictate where we move as well (since David wants to be close to work).
7) We continue to remodel this house and it is coming along better then expected (I design and David does the work).
8) I did a huge leap of faith by opening up my own photography business. God has truly blessed me, because in my first 6 months I did 35 photo sessions - WOW! Can you say amazing?! That's more then one session a week. One of the sessions was school pictures for a preschool in Angleton. They have now hired me as their school photographer and will be doing school pictures every spring and fall semester. How exciting! 2008 will be bigger and better with my new website I am launching soon and my advertisement in Space Center Parent magazine. Over 15,000 copies sent across the Bay Area to 9 cities around here! I am ecstatic! :)

Thank you all who have been a part of our wonderful year and hope 2008 is just as great! :) Enjoy this silly collage of Jake!

Christmas 2007

Today was Jacob's first Christmas! The boys woke up around 7:30 and were ready to tear into their gifts. I was excited because Jacob could actually participate since he was asleep at Aunt Michelle's house. The two had a wonderful time tearing into the gifts together. They tag teamed opening the presents and did a fantastic job! The boys were very happy with their gifts. Austin was even playing with Jacob's toys not minding to his race car set or other big gifts...figures! After we had lunch we went over to my parents and then grandparents house for Christmas. My grandmother put together a fabulous Christmas dinner - as always! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Warning - there are A LOT of pictures!!

Christmas Lights

Tonight we packed up the Volvo with David, myself, Austin, Jacob, my father, my mother, and my brother. Yep, the Volvo was packed with family ready for a night out drinking Starbucks and looking at Christmas lights! We went through Green Tee in Pearland and Austin enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful big houses with their decorations and lights. He saw a few penguin decorations and proudly exclaimed "happy feet!" Very cute and lots of fun!

Christmas at the Wymore's

Today we celebrated Christmas with David's family at Aunt Michelle's new house over in Katy. Unfortunately Jacob was asleep for present time, but brother Austin had no problems opening all of the gifts in his behalf. We had to keep Austin up to speed with opening the gifts, because his short attention span was getting caught up in playing with the gifts he already opened! Typical kiddo. We received a lot of great gifts, so thank you Mom, Robert, Michelle, Mary Ann, and Larry! Michelle prepared an amazing Italian dinner with Cheesecake for dessert. Thank you for working so hard on the dinner. Merry Christmas!!
