Jakey Jakey

It's amazing how much Jake talks. At 19 months old he spurts off words and even small sentences. I guess being the little brother has its perks, because he seems to pick up and do everything that his older brother does. Austin and Jake will sit there and have a conversation right in front of you and only half of it can be translated into English. He really adores and admires his older brother for sure. I love watching the two of them interact and grow up together. It will be interesting to see what role Baby Tres will have between their companionship!

Guessing Time!!

Copy and paste this link: http://www.expectnet.com/games/GuessBabyTres

Yep, you know the routine from when we did this with Jacob! Our good friend Shani won with Jacob, so we'll see who wins this time! :)

If you want some "hints" here are a few:

- I more then likely will not make it to my due date given my history with the boys.
- David and I go back and forth on if we think it's a boy or girl. At this moment I think boy and he thinks girl. We have no evidence of either! lol
- I crave sweets...but I did also with Jake (French toast and cookies!).
- The due date I am using (Jan 2nd) is not the due date my OB is using (which is Jan 5th). She is going by the first u/s and I am going by ovulation date. Not too far off! :)
- I haven't gained as much weight with this pregnancy then with the others.
- Austin was 7lbs even and Jake was 8.5lbs at birth.

Baby Tres - 20 weeks

I had my 20 week appt today and everything looked great! I have gained 10lbs (not as much as where I was with the boys at this point). The baby is measuring three weeks AHEAD. Yes, we went to having the baby measure perfect to now measuring almost a month ahead! WOWZA! It must be some sort of huge growth spurt...which would make sense since I have been eating non-stop for the past 2 weeks, lol! We'll keep an eye on the little bambino/a and make sure I don't give birth to a 10lb baby. If you remember from Jake he measured 2 weeks ahead and delivered 2 weeks early at 8.5lbs (would have been almost 10lbs if he delivered on his due date). They say the babies get bigger with each subsequent pregnancy (if the same sex)...so we'll see I guess! Dr. Rowe did say the baby had very long legs, so maybe it's just a tall little girl?! ;) I am having contractions already...nothing new there right?! The past few days I have had them off and on. So she checked me to make sure all is well, which I am fine! We all know my body loves to have contractions when pregnant...as long as they don't change my cervix then we are good to go!

Back from NYC!!

Yep, that's right, David took me to NYC for our 5 year wedding anniversary!! He is pretty darn good, isn't he?! We stayed in Manhattan at the New York Palace...the place was stunning! Absolutely down right amazing. There is nothing like ordering chocolate cake at 1am and being served a warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and strawberries! Can you tell I'm pregnant...I'm raving about the sweets! LOL David had a lot planned and we hit the town something fierce. I'll hit the highlights through the pictures, there are A LOT of them! I have a truly wonderful loving husband who knows how to take care of me! :) Thank you Aunt Michelle and Grandma Mata for your help with the kids while we were gone!

Whew, it was an absolute blast! Even though I was the only pregnant woman on Manhattan (I kid you not) we were on the go and got around with no problem. We took cabs, limos (David had this all set up), and walked around. We understand now what the phrase "a New York minute" means - everything is FAST paced there. We can't wait to go back another time!

Bon Voyage!

We are headed out for our 5 year wedding anniversary vacation!!! I am very excited, because David has completely planned this from top to bottom. Including, it being a SURPRISE to me. I don't have a clue where we are going or what we are doing - WOW! He is the master! He planned everything from every day events to getting the kids taken care of while we are gone. Yep, he's GOOD! I'm sure I'll have TONS of pictures from our wonderful vacation when we return...whenever that is! :)

The only thing I do know is we are flying Continental...and it's somewhere I have never been before but want to go to. HMMMMM?!?!

Sprinkler Fun

Since our grass is in dire need of some water and it was a hot day outside, I decided to turn on the sprinkler in the back and let the kids play. They had a blast! They are enjoying their new swing set as well! :)
