Baby Tres - 4.5 Months

I had my 18 weeks u/s today and Baby Tres is doing wonderful! The doc said Tres is measuring right on my due date (which Tres has done this at every u/s I've had!). It's kind of funny, because Austin always measured 2 weeks behind and Jake always measured 2 weeks ahead. This one is JUST right! :) Everything looked perfect and the little stinker flipped in my belly so much that they had a hard time keeping up. We have a gymnast in there, maybe?! The doc again told me he knew the sex, but as yall know we don't want to find out. I love it!! As soon as I can get our scanner hooked up I will post some pics. In the meantime here is my new belly picture collage! :)

Our New Home

We love our new home! We love everything about it and the neighborhood as well. Our street is very nice and cozy. There are only 12 houses on the street (4 on each side of the street and then 4 in the culdesac). It's a quaint small close knit "family" of homes and we are excited to be the new addition. There are a lot of children here as well as stay at home moms (which I looove!)...David calls it our own little desperate housewives! ;)

The neighborhood is wonderful and very family oriented. It is called Villages of Cypress Lakes and our village is called Lakeside. Our village was one of the first one's built. They are still building homes on the other side of the golf course for the next year or two...then everything will be complete! We are just a few blocks away from the beautiful lake and walking/jogging trail. Next to the lake is the playground, splash pad, and pool. Then on the other side of the pool is the beautiful Cypress Lakes golf course. It's a fantastic neighborhood!

The boys are loving the new house, especially the stairs. Austin is a pro at going up and down, but Jake is in the process of mastering it. He crawls up it and slides down backwards. That's why baby gates are now coming in handy! We've never used them before, but I have a feeling we'll have several around the house now. Austin's room is really the only room that is decorated and completed. His room is red (to match his old room's theme) and he is loving all the new space he has. The rest of the house is still white and we are not used to it! If you have been to our old house then you know we love color on the walls! It will take some time to get everything decorated the way we want it...we'll have to be patient! There is also a lot of empty space. Since we doubled the square footage we have a lot of "extra" rooms that we didn't have before. If you come over in the next month or two please don't mind the emptyness as we are in the process of filling it up! :)

Here are the pictures that I have taken so far...I will add more as we get more done around the house!

Au Revoir

This was my last night as a high-risk OB nurse at Clear Lake Regional...it was bitter sweet. I love my career tremendously, but I love my family even more! With Baby Tres coming it was time to stay home - even though I was only working a few shifts a month. The pic above is me with Brenda - the best nurse there! ;) But...you have to hear how I ended my career at Clear Lake Regional...I delivered a baby! :) Yep, that's right, yours truly. I had a patient come in who was 34 weeks pregnant and her water broke. She precipted (meaning the baby came out with no real labor/warning) and I caught/delivered the baby! The doctor arrived about 5-10 minutes later (we had called her doc when she started pushing even though I was begging her not to push! LOL). The baby girl was doing fantastic and she didn't need any extra help breathing...the bulb syringe was all she needed. Thank God! Being 6 weeks early she was doing wonderful. Both parents were on cloud nine and couldn't be more proud. It was a fantabulous way for me to leave - that's one for the books! :)

"Shadow got ink!!"

Those are the words that come out of Austin's mouth when describing his little brother's new tattoo - yes that's right! While spending the afternoon at Aunt Mary's house "Shadow got ink" and loves it! We were closing on the new house and came back to see his new tattoo. It is the cutest thing!!

On another note, we closed on our house today!! What a relief! We have a home again! We start moving in tomorrow and more posts will be coming - trust me there are a lot! :)

Splish Splash!

Jake is having a great time in Michelle's whirlpool tub. Can't wait to have our own! The boys have been doing great considering we have been living without their toys and anything familiar to them. Jake has his moments where he looks lost, like he is looking for something. But all things considered, they are doing great! Only two more days then we will be HOME!! Pray that closing goes smooth for us on Friday...

One down, one to go

We officially sold the house today! We closed on the Friendswood house and it went really smooth. We received more money then we originally thought, which is a huge bonus - who doesn't like more money?! Wednesday we moved everything to a storage unit near our new house up in Cypress. Thursday was clean up day (I never knew how much trash could be left behind after you move!). The boys helped me clean the old house making it shine and sparkle (and so did Marilyn...thank you mom!!). Who knew sweeping and mopping could be so much fun?! Jake and Austin each had their "little" brooms following me around the house. At one point Jake crawled into an umbrella stroller that had been left behind and Austin was pleased to push him around the empty house. They were both giggling and having a blast...man I love those boys! They can always put a smile on my face. As we were leaving Austin told the house goodbye and gave it a hug! He is too cute for words. We close on the new house next Friday and we can't be more anxious/excited to get in there! This will be the longest week ever...hope it goes by fast!

Baby Tres is doing well! I'm 4 months pregnant today and feeling Tres move a lot more now. My belly is really popping out now. In fact, my belly button HAS popped! But the bun in the oven is not done cooking. I'll have to take some more belly pictures this week to post. If you ask Austin what the baby is he'll tell you it's a girl. But you have to understand that he also thinks it will grow as big as a house before it comes out - HA! ;)

We Have a House!!

Sunday was an exhausting day for us, but after we found "the" one we decided to go ahead and head home. It was one of the last houses we saw. We only had one more to see, which ironically enough was the SAME exact floorplan/builder/neighborhood. It was just a brand new built home, as opposed to the one we loved being a couple of years old. We put an offer on it that night and waited. It wasn't until Tuesday evening that we finally had it - the house is ours! We are very excited!! It's a beautiful home on a culdesac street in the neighborhood of Villages of Cypress Lakes. It is twice as big (literally...we are going from 1500sq feet to 3100sq feet!) as our current house, which will be perfect for our growing family! I can't wait to make it our home and have the kids grow up there. It's about 20mins from David's work, so not too far. The neighborhood is built around a golf course and has lakes all throughout the neighborhood. It really is a wonderful area! We close on the 25th and as soon as I can I will post pics!

Going Once...Twice...Sold!!

That's right we have accepted an offer on our house and we are moving out in just two weeks! Our closing date is scheduled for July 18th, so we plan to be out by the 16th. That's two weeks - exactly. We are thrilled and excited that it only took us about a month to sell the house (especially when it's a bad market). We are very pleased with the offer and profit we will get back...it will go straight to our next house though. Sunday we are going out to Cypress and looking at 12 houses...you heard that right! Some are brand new houses (still under construction) and some are just a few years old. My grandparents have graciously helped us out by letting us stay in their house while we transition into the new house. That has helped us out so much! We really appreciate it. Please pray that everything goes as planned and we don't hit any bumps until closing. We will keep yall updated! :)

Ultrasound and Belly Pictures

We met with "the man" Dr. Rowe today - he is our Maternal Fetal Specialist. I work with him out at Clear Lake Regional and he is always a joy to see! He said Tres looked fantastic and measuring right on target. Tres was lying transverse (sideways) with the legs to my left side. Tres had his/her hands up by the face as in saying "don't take pictures of me!" - Tres must know his/her mother already! ;) Dr. Rowe said Tres has really long legs...another big baby he is thinking. GREAT! Jake was 8.5lbs at 38 weeks, so I can't imagine anything bigger then that! He said we'll keep an eye on the growth (since babies typically get bigger and bigger with each subsequent pregnancy). He DOES know the sex of the baby...yep at 13 weeks. David and I both are very adamant about not knowing the sex...we think surprises are fun! :) But of course it's going to drive me crazy that he knows! I took a belly picture for my 13 week shot. My belly is larger now then the other two at this point...let the growing begin! On a good note I am no longer experiencing sickness. What a relief!! Enjoy the pictures! :)

Austin in the Sky

Austin and I went to visit one of my best friends in the awesome town of Chicago. We love visiting up there! Austin did fantastic for his first flight! The boys all had so much fun together and instantly bonded like they had known each other their whole lives (they have they just didn't know it! lol). Heidi has a son (Jaxson) who is 8 days older then Austin (we met each other in May of 2004 when we were first expecting) and a son (Austin...AKA AJ) who is a few months older then Jake (we just love being preggo together! lol). I had to leave Jake home due to him being a little young, but he'll get to go next year for sure! Here are pictures...you know there are a lot! :)
