Easter 2008

We started out our Easter morning going to Sunday service at my father's church. It was a great service and Jake enjoyed singing and clapping to the music. Austin was shy and stayed near my father most of the time. We then headed to my grand parents house for lunch and games. We had a blast playing Joker...a game my grand parents learned in New Mexico (where their summer home is). We had a great time playing that game! The kids behaved really well (Jake slept). By the time we got home that night we all crashed out. The kids forgot all about their Easter baskets, lol.

Easter Party

The boys had their Easter party today with our play group (about 35 kids were there today). We had a lot of good food, treats, and a great Easter egg hunt! Austin had a blast finding the eggs, but the only problem was that he wanted to open each and every one as he found it. Little stinker! So I had to make sure he kept up the pace or he was going to lose out on finding any more. He scored a basket full and was happy as could be! He and his buddy Jackson (with Jake tagging along in their shadows) sat down and went through their loot. They then went out to the play ground and had a blast. Poor Jake wanted to play with the big boys...I guess mama will have to do for now! :)

Hockey in Texas

If you know David, then you know he has a passion for hockey. He used to play in his college days and never gave up the love for it. Well, he is going back to being a hockey player! Yep that's right David is going to be playing hockey again! He is beyond thrilled - ecstatic if you will. He is currently back on the ice and doing a warm up season of getting the feel for being on ice again. He actually is doing a superb job (since he hasn't been on the ice in years) and has been advanced up through several of the classes. He now is practicing all of the maneuvers and stops. He hopes to be playing very soon...I can't wait for the pictures! :) I know the boys have enjoyed going up to the rink (which is right next to our house thankfully!) and watching their dad do something he loves (and is good at!). We'll have to get us some Wymore jersey's to match daddy!

Growing up

For some reason today I sat back in my chair and stared at Austin in awe...realizing he has grown up so much recently. It's almost as if he had a huge growth spurt - in looks. He looks like a little man! His tone, behavior, and attitude is really starting to make him appear older. It's amazing! Yet sad at the same time. :( I took some pictures of him and you can see it in his eyes...maturity (on a three year old level).
