We had a wonderful July 4th weekend! Saturday David and I went to his friend's wedding and Sunday we spent the day swimming at Mary Ann's house. Zach didn't care too much for the water, but hopefully that will change!
Our neighborhood has a splash waterpark and the boys LOVE to go play and cool off in this Texas heat (it's been 100+ degrees for almost a month!). It's been one of the hottest summers in record Houston history and all I can say is thank God for water and sunscreen! :)
I just wanted to post a huge shout out to my husband for his amazing promotion he received! He is now the Project Manager for the 290 Expansion for Klotz Associates! WAY TO GO DAVID!! The project is being divided among numerous engineering firms across Houston and David will be the leading designer on it for Klotz. It will take approximately 3 years for him and his team to complete the design and about 10 years to complete construction. This is a huge opportunity for David and I know he will do an amazing job!
You can click the link below to see the plan in action and David's design will be Phase IIA.
Isaac had his 6 month appt today and he is still a big guy! He weighed in at 18.5lbs and 27 inches long. He is now rolling over and sitting up in the tripod position. He is still nursing well and we can see his two bottom teeth trying to make their way up. It won't be long before they cut through. He is such a happy and sweet little baby. His older brothers love caring for him and helping him out. I love seeing them treat Zach so well! They have a lot of brotherly love going on. Here are some of his 6 month pics:
We are now the proud owners of a 2009 VW Mini-Van! Yes, David finally convinced me to get one and I am soooo glad we did! I was an anti-minivan person, but not after meeting the Routan. I fell in LOVE! Everything happens with a push of the button (both inside and on my keychain), leather interior, 3 rows of DVD players (and 2 movies can play at once with headphones to match), and much more. It's the SEL version, so it's fully loaded! It drives really well and feels solid on the road (other vans I drove like the Sienna and Honda felt light on the road and didn't feel heavy at all). I am a proud mini van driving mama! :)
So, we are a house of boys. And to tell you the truth I LOVE IT. I am so glad they have each other and can have a bond like no other. I hope they grow up to be just as close as they are now. Jake can't be without Austin for too long and Austin is always looking out for Zach and Zach just loves to watch the older boys play. Here are some pics of our boys together:
The boys and I played outside in the sprinkler today as summer begins. Zach sat in his bouncy chair and enjoyed watching the boys play and laugh. It felt nice outside!
We had a fun filled day today as my family came over to visit us (with Pappadeaux in tote!). We decided it had been too long since our last set of pictures were taken, so we took some pictures (some are posted below). Hope everyone enjoyed their day!!
